From Naples to Your Neighborhood
HearthStoneFoyer started from a humble aspiration: to deliver true Neapolitan pizza to Manchester. Established by the Smith family in 1985, our family-owned pizzeria began as a cozy, neighborhood spot with time-honored recipes passed down through the generations.
Our founder, Oliver Smith, learned the craft of pizza-making during travels across Italy, apprenticing with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the cradle of pizza. Returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of authentic Italian pizza, using traditional techniques and the finest ingredients.
What began as a small 12-seat pizzeria has blossomed into a beloved local institution, yet our commitment to quality and authenticity has never faltered. We still use the same wood-fired oven techniques, prepare our dough daily, and source the highest-quality ingredients we can find.
Today, 'HearthStoneFoyer' remains a family-owned operation, with the second generation of the Smith family now leading our dedicated team. While we've incorporated some modern innovations, the core of our business stays the same: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
